Star Trek Online tie-in novel coming in March
It looks like the enormous amount of Star Trek novels that have already been published will be joined by one designed to tie into Cryptic’s upcoming MMO Star Trek Online. The Simon and Schuster web site has posted up a new entry for Star Trek Online: The Needs of the Many, a mass market paperback by author Michael A. Martin. The novel will be published under the company’s Pocket Books brand which has been the home for official Star Trek novels for nearly 30 years.
There’s no word as to the plot of the novel which is scheduled to be released at the end of March, just under two months after the launch of the game. Naturally we suspect the novel will be set in the same timeline as Star Trek Online which is several decades after the events of the movie Star Trek Nemesis.
